Our PartnersTransport Accident Commission (TAC)Release date: Wed 16 May 2007 Last updated: Wed 13 February 2013 The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian Government-owned organisation whose role is to fund the medical and support services needed by people injured in transport accidents. The funds the TAC needs to perform these functions come from payments made by Victorian motorists when they register their vehicles each year with VicRoads. Another responsibility of the TAC is to promote road safety in Victoria through high-profile public education campaigns. The TAC, in consultation with Victoria Police, VicRoads and its other road safety partners, has developed a strategy to target the main causes of crashes that result in trauma and encourage positive road-user attitudes and behaviour.
