Fatal crash in Kinglake

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Kinglake yesterday afternoon.

It is understood a blue Mercedes Benz sedan left the roadway and crashed into a tree on Heidelberg-Kinglake Road just after 1pm.

Emergency services worked on the driver, a 50-year-old Heidelberg Heights man, but he could not be revived.
