Man charged with murder following Werribee death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man with murder after a woman was located deceased in Werribee this morning.

Emergency services were called to an address on Retford Close about 9.05am on 27 March.

A 42-year-old Werribee woman was located deceased in the backyard with stab wounds.

Officers arrested a 41-year-old Werribee man at the scene.

He has been charged with one count of murder and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

It is believed the parties involved are known to each other.
