Luci knew that she wanted to join Victoria Police since she was in school. After beginning her career in general duties as a 21-year-old, Luci is now a Tactical Flight Officer with the Airwing. From search and rescue missions to tracking down stolen vehicles, each day brings a fresh new challenge.

Really what drove me to join Victoria Police was the diversity and the different options of careers.
So I joined when I was 21. And then since being in Victoria Police I worked in a lot of different areas in general duties, I was a detective, worked at the Drug Squad and clan labs before coming to Airwing.
You definitely get a variety of people that work at Airwing with a lot of different experience. Pilots have worked in an array of different backgrounds, and it's the same with the uniform members as well.
So we've all come from different backgrounds, and although we're in a specialist squad now, we're definitely part of the VicPol family and part of the team.
I've been at Airwing for about five years now and again, I just love the diversity of the different jobs that we get.
We can be doing rescue tasks. We can be chasing stolen cars. We can be searching for missing people.
It might seem like a pretty normal day and it can change pretty quickly. And yeah, I just love that you don't know what you're going to get.
If you're up for a bit of fun, you're up for a variety and a bit of hard work, it's definitely the job for you. There's a lot of different career opportunities within Victoria Police and I think if you don't want to sit at a desk all day and you want some variety and spice, then Victoria Police could be the job for you.
